HORSE THERAPY
Here are some of the key benefits of horse therapy
Horses are highly spiritual sensitive beings; they have a huge electromagnetic heart field (several times ours) – which when connected with ours can help us relax.
My mission for this retreat is to give an opportunity to other cancer fighters and survivors to spend 7 days disconnected from their world and reconnect with themselves in a caring community and in nature (Oaxaca Coast of Mexico). To essentially “get back on the horse” and go on with life with a smile.
The horses are used for horse therapy – you do not have to ride them only if you wish to.
Horse therapy, also known as equine-assisted therapy (EAT), provides a range of physical, emotional, and psychological benefits. It is used for individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, trauma, and personal development.
Horses are extremely receptive and sensitive animals, capable of detecting subtle human emotions such as joy, anger or stress. They are neutral and non-judgmental creatures, they accept us how we are. As potential prey, the horse constantly observes its environment, alone or in turns, so that the herd is safe. Therefore, horses react to our emotional states with various body signals, thus offering a reflection of our inner self. They push us to communicate authentically. This interaction helps us to better understand and align our emotions, thus promoting a deeper exploration of the self.
